The appearance is deep purple. On the nose, one picks up notes of ripe red and black fruit and sweet spices. The palate has a lovely structure with fine tannins and harmonious and well integrated oak.

After a pre-fermentation maceration to extract the aromatic compounds from the skins, vinification is conducted at a controlled temperature. Carefully managed and adapted pumping-over operations enable optimal extraction of the polyphenols and anthocyanins. 8-10 months ageing allows the tannins to soften and gives the wine its intense, oaky character.
